The point of this post is to show that you don’t need the latest camera to get out and shoot fungi, these were taken with the Samsung Galaxy S20 on a bike ride with the family along the Pipeline Track, near Neika on the foothills of kunanyi / Mt Wellington.

Clean the lens, check the light, get low and look for composition, hold it still, check for focus, good for go. Get out there and shoot!
Thanks for visiting 😀
So many varieties of mushrooms to view and sad that these all we can’t eat 🌷🙏♥️
It’s Attractive beauty we can see only 👍🏻😊♥️🌷

Thanks John, it’s been wet the last week or two and they seem to be suddenly exploding everywhere!

One of them (the fifth from the bottom) looks like a chanterelle but I’d have to see it underneath. Even so, it’s always best to be 100% sure. Also it helps if there are others like it around (and there usually are). But for a photo shoot, the poisonous ones are prettier.

That one was by itself. There’s a one colloquially called a golden cap here which I think looks similar, popular with some mischievous folk who make a tea ☕️ and get trippy. I’m not game to play that game.

The range of colours is amazing! The purple ones look like ones gnomes would grow in their garden. 🙂

Definitely! We walked past a gnome garden too, I thought of you but I didn’t stop for a photo, maybe next time 🙂

Oh my gosh that’s a Great variety of mushrooms! On a bike ride! Well, the first thing and most important we need to take a photo is to see… and it seems that you did very well in that department. Phones these days do a great job.

Thanks Alessandra! Often folk look, but they still don’t see, open eyes and and open mind is the key 🙂
