This post focus’ on some fungi I’ve found over a few weeks. I’ve been looking closely at the burnt earth, observing what pops through the warming spring ground after some soaking rain.
I don’t expect to find any Mycena here, this is the burnt bush from a fire last April is on a north facing slope and cops a fair amount of direct sun under a scattered canopy of now struggling eucalyptus trees.

Enjoy life and the little things that make it bigger.
They are so bizarre-looking! π±

It’s a miracle how life comes back after a forest fire.

We walked down there at night while the fire was still smouldering, it looked like a disaster zone! They burnt it way too hot but In the long run, I think it will help to improve the soil. Lucky the weather has been ben good for growth this Spring πΌ

Thanks, the orange fungi was the most prolific one in the area, it stands out well against the black soil.

Great captures and set! They all look rather alien, but I guess mushrooms/fungi are like that! π
