They do tell of new beginnings, the skull adds to the story. 💀

Thanks John, I don’t know if the skull was a victim of the fire or not, but when I found it it made me sad and I liked the contrast against the burnt blackness.

That’s like finding dead deer back in Michigan. Take a walk through any grassy field, you may come upon an entire deer skeleton. My friend would take the skull, drop it in some scalding hot water and add bleach. It comes out a bright white and looks cool hanging along the driveway! 😂

Fantastic photos! The spider is super cool! I find it fun to focus on the small things in the world!

Thanks, I has super trouble getting it in focus because it was quite windy, it took several shots, but I liked the web in the sun 🌞

Sometimes there is no need for words. As the Swedish proverb goes “a picture says more than a thousand words”

Thanks, I’m glad you get it 🙂 Occasionally I really struggle to write and communicate my thoughts. Like a very mild depression or anxiety at times, but I’m ok 🙂

I’m always pleased when I see a young tree growing out of the decay of a fallen one.

Yes, Aussie trees are built to burn. I noticed lots of gum seeds on the ground while looking for fungi!

Your photos always communicate so much; no words needed. It’s so hopeful to see all these plants springing to life from such devastation. No pun intended. 🙂

Thank you so much Morgaine, I sometimes wonder if I miss the mark, so to speak.
I have been surprised how much top soil has remained in this area which has really helped the new growth. An earlier burnt patch further up the hill is not so fortunate and is really struggling, though I saw some new orchids there today. I think the steady soaking rain we’ve had over the last few weeks is really helping.

Thanks 😊 I was told by a man who used to live in he area as a kid that there is a cave down there somewhere. I have yet to find it.
