Not a Kangaroo, but a local Bennett’s Wallaby. In the last 10 years the population of Bennett’s and Pademelon’s in our valley has exploded.

You can see above, the normal coloured wallaby blends in well with the surrounding bushland.

There are two wallaby’s in the valley that are genetically different and I was lucky enough to photograph one of them.

They’re not albino, but a fairly rare blonde Bennett’s Wallaby.

May 2021 be full of wonderful surprises for you!
They are so cute! Happy Roo Year! 😀

We only have the Forester Kangaroo in Tasmania which lives mostly up in the north east corner. They are protected but can be hunted for population control with a license.

Very pretty face on those wallabies. (I almost wrote wannabees). Do they wannabee a kangaroo? Probably not. Nice post.

Lol, wannabee wallabies! They seem pretty happy with themselves, the males often spar and box in the paddock we overlook!
