I bought a pre-loved Olympus 60mm F2.8 Macro yesterday, thought I’d revisit the Alien tree to learn and compare to my previous post – which was shot with a 12-40 F2.8 pro lens.
These are in camera focus stacked shots (first time I’ve tried this, bit of fuzz on the edges above if you’re picky, I could edit but these are jpeg’s almost straight out of camera!)
I used a head-torch with some white insulation tape as a diffuser to add some light in the shadows for reduced contrast and also learnt how to use the camera upside-down 🙂
Two hours disappeared way too quickly exploring just one tree-stump landscape, I think I now understand why these lens’ don’t get used much … they can steal your life!!!
