when i was somewhat younger i loved going on those wonderful long walks in nature. digital cameras had recently emerged & i had the best times ever going up hightop mountain & taking pix such as you are doingโค๏ธ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ it felt like my birthday, christmas, divali & homecoming๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณthe camera added such fun to the hikes, & it felt like a treasure hunt every time!๐ค๐ your post reminded me of all that, & i look forward each & every one of them: thank you๐๐ผโค๏ธ๐๐ผ
Thank you so much for your kind comment! It moves me to know that my post brought back such fond memories ๐ I don’t post all that regularly but I strive for quality over quantity, particularly in my photography. Sometimes I get a little lax with the words, I usually put my posts together late at night, the words either flow easily, or more often they don’t but I hope the pictures are enough to tell a story. While I love taking images, I don’t enjoy sitting behind a computer so much, I much prefer to enjoy life. I try to pick varied and interesting subjects that often offer a new challenge for me, usually at random without planning and what ever I experience during the week, often a surprise for me and hopefully the reader.
Thanks again, I really appreciate your words ๐
Thanks Anneli, I had my eye out on the walk for a mini alien forest and spotted this strange tangled micro landscape – and the strange jube like red fungi ๐
Magnificent! At first I thought the header was an underwater shot; the ferns look like coral. The B&Ws are amazing! Is that a gnome hiding under the leaves? ๐
Thanks Morgaine, I hadn’t looked at the header shot like that but I see what you mean! That red fungi does look like a gnomes hat too – I took it because I thought it looked like a jube. I was originally going to edit all pics in colour but converting them to mono worked so well for something different. The last one is very abstract compared to the original image and the inspiration for the post title ๐
Tone, the fourth photo is amazing, it reminds me of those sprites and other names that were discovered a few years ago that shoot vertically out of a thunderstorm. Beautiful.
Thanks John, perhaps it would have been better in mono as well to leave more to the imagination ๐ I loved this tiny miniature alien forest, it had quite a variety of lichen and mosses.
and found, beautiful
