I don’t normally post twice in one day, and I’m not allowed to talk about my job on social media … so this isn’t about my job. Today I emptied a box and pulled out a lovely surprise, two of my postcards! I designed and had these printed just before Covid stopped tourism!

Though they have been selling well – only available from our Tasmanian Gingerbread cottage at Richmond and I need to order more, I was absolutely thrilled to see two with stamps and a short story of presumably happy travels (which I didn’t read) off to someone’s friend or relatives.
It feels good to be part of someone’s shared joy, I hope the recipients enjoy the news and postcards. Thanks, to all the anonymous people who have bought one, happy travels π

I had to look twice. I thought you had a TasView tattoo on your hand. ππ Well done with the postcards. They look great. And I’m so glad you’ve witnessed them in use.

Me too Sandra! Would be a cool tatt!
Well done and it is nice to know that people appreciate your work. I’m back working as a casual journalist at our local newspaper, and I do appreciate positive feedback.

Thanks Lynn, I appreciate your kind words π I worked at Hobart’s Mercury newspaper for 26 years as a graphic designer and know that positive feedback in that environment can be rare and self congratulory back pats are great motivation to keep going π

The most successful people I know are not scared to share their knowledge with others whether it be a journalist, photographer or artist! The support of other like-minded people is so vital.

LOL, thanks Sandra. I thought about a tattoo, if I got one it would say “nothing to prove”, so Ive never gotten one … π
