A wonderful wedding

Following on from the previous post, thankfully it turns out I took more than one good shot of the big day …

Marriage Celebrant: Lorna Long.

The Bride and Bride are stoked with these photos, I think I have told the story of their day without words far better than I could ever have imagined!

I still have all the family group photos to edit – I’ve already selected the best shots and they are crackers – everyone is so relaxed and smiling with eyes open. Many of the images I took before they realised – nice and candid. I need to ask permission first before I can publish them here.

I also have more “posed” shots of the lovely couple to edit and share. For two ladies who hate having their photo taken, we had so much fun, especially trying to open the Champagne bottles used in the previous post. I think they were getting sore faces from smiling so much 😀

On a side note: Mountain biking is dangerous, bushwalking at night is madness! But nobody warned me about the hazards of wedding photography!! Of all the crazy things I do, I damaged my knee kneeling in the isle taking photos, but like a pro, I continued on and got the job done. Suspected ligament damage and a week off work – Really??! Plenty of time to edit photos at least. 🤔
So lastly, a wedding photography tip: always stretch and warm up first! LOL.

Would I do it again? You bet-ya!! Need a wedding photographer?
Stay tuned for more wedding portraits 😀

WEDDING PART 3

Note: I received prior permission to share these special photos on my blog from the brides. Please respect their privacy and do not download or re-post any image without our prior permission.

  1. Beautiful memories for these two. They look happy. Too bad about your knee, but good that you kept going. Looks like you did a great job for them. I love the b/w where the toddler is reaching for the earring.

    1. Thanks Anneli, the indoor light was a challenge but so happy with the results and smiling faces! My knee is feeling a little better today, slowly slowly, but I don’t think it’s too serious hopefully. The toddler was so photogenic and wonderfully behaved, a credit to her parents 🙂

    1. Thanks Morgaine, pretty sure they are as delighted as I am 😀 Odd I’ve never thought of wedding photos as how the photographer experienced the day – fond memories for me also – except for the knee, a bit more weight on it this morning, a good sign 😀

    1. Thanks Sandra, it was made easier photographing fabulous people 😀 Knee is slowly improving. It has been so busy at work for months it’s nice to have a break, even if it is a forced rest. I haven’t had any real time off for ages!
