(5 images, click to enlarge) – I was lucky to find a small group greenhood orchids nodding in the wind along the side of a rarely used track, not far from home. With the sun making an appearance, I set about trying to capture the translucent beauty of their striking orchid hood.
Inspiration for an alien head? I took many more photos, but didn’t want to bore you 😉

I thought that too, with translucent heads! They are quite remarkable to look at in person.
