MoFo Meander

(9 images) – To celebrate winter solstice, Hobart locals paint the town red and party to warm up. We drove into town Saturday night, with lines around the block and questionable social distancing, we gave up.

These were taken around the wharf on my way home from work, when it was much quieter.

    1. It has really injected some much needed life into Hobart’s darkest days. Now it feels like spring is just around the corner as the days lengthen and the bulbs begin to come through.

  1. I’m glad I’m not alone in never having heard of this festival, but I looked up a bit about it on the Internet, and of course found the good and bad of it. Dark MoFo sounds like the stuff of nightmares and some parts are a bit creepy, but in general it’s great to have a celebration of the solstice.
