Enjoying my first day back trading at Hobart’s famous Salamanca Market. I have a stall – on the right – selling leather goods, tasleather.com (shameless self promotion.

I’ve enjoyed almost a year off reclaiming my Saturdays after 12 years being a marketeer, but now it’s back to business almost as usual.
Social distancing, hand sanitiser and crowd monitoring doesn’t seem to have quelled the enthusiasm of the large, friendly crowd.
Great to see the markets are up and going again. We loved visiting Salamanca when we lived in Tassie

They have operated in a limited capacity since August with restrictions, slowly grown and is now well supported so worth going back.

We have been very, very lucky here. We locked down hard early on, much easier to control on an island.
