We call flora that doesn’t belong in our landscape weeds, not because they are ugly, but because the spread easily and become invasive, taking over native species. Some of them are actually useful or beautiful, but still, they do not belong because of their destructive nature.

With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any ways to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d truly appreciate it.

For images it’s best to restrict the size you upload and place a watermark on it. You can also add copyright info in the EXIF data. This won’t stop images being stolen but helps discourage it and prove their yours if you decide to challenge someone. You can do a reverse image search to find if your image has been used elsewhere unapproved, details here –

Searching for quoted blocks of your text should find it if it is being used elsewhere.
Contact the person directly and ask them to pay, remove it or credit you (link) etc.
Contact the hosting company and report an infringement, they should take it down if direct contact doesn’t work.
You could leave comments on the person’s website or leave bad reviews in the hope they will take it down.
It can cost a lot to take legal action and is quite a time consuming hassle.
Someone re-edited my Franklin River video’s and posted them, I contacted YouTube and they removed it.
