[5 photos] – In case you’re sick of seeing blue fungi, here’s a few different fungi I found while wandering about the local woods. First, a smaller white Mycena holding a water drop under it’s cap!

Lovely peach coloured gills beautifully backlight, supporting a few hosts.

Lovely radiating paterns in this plainer brown cap, with a bug in the middle.

A leaf trapped under a layer of moisture on a cap caught my eye!

Sorry, I can’t help myself! Another gorgeous little blue Mycena find in a lovely moss and lichen world.

Thanks for visiting, look for the small things!
They look like works of art! Beautiful photos.

Thanks Anneli,
when I’m looking for fungi, I often just follow hunches, or feelings like I’m being led somewhere. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes not, but I always have fun!
Have a fantastic day.

Beautiful macro photography … Thank you! What lens (extensions tubes) is it …?

Hi Sergei, thank you.
I shot these with the Olympus OM-1 and Oly 60mm Macro lens. No extension tubes and only natural light. They were in-camera focus stacked with 15 images, then edited in DxO Photolab and finished in Photoshop CS6.

Yap … OM system, as I thought, the best system for macro work. Here you have it, perfect combination of excellent photographer plus the best macro system equals magic! Thank you for sharing Tone.

Thanks so much Sergei, I just found your reply! Seriously, that means so much to me, really appreciated 😀 Loving the OM/Oly ecosystem for everything I throw at it, so diverse! And light 😉 The “full frame” users don’t know what they’re not missing.
