Maroon Hood patch

It’s interesting when I visit how this orchid has changed, another day in it’s life …

One of the other orchids with similar leaves nearby has opened too …

The next day, this one was looking a little happier …

Some of the other buds I found in the same area …

It was a bit windy and they kept moving, I waited for it to drop but the camera has a little trouble lining the focus stack up.

And a surprise that’s not an orchid to finish off, a male Superb Blue Fairy Wren in my paddock. I actually took this one a while ago but it had remained unpublished 😀

Thanks for dropping by, have an awesome day!

  1. That takes a lot of patience. I really believe that photography is not just about technical skills but the ability to take the time to capture those moments. Well done. Lynn

    1. Thanks Lynn for appreciating the time I’ve invested in this orchid season, it means a lot! The orchids have all but gone in my area now, so I’m enjoying mountain biking again. Thanks for visiting 😊

      1. Orchids do require some TLC especially in our cooler climes. I’m not much of a gardener but I do appreciate beautiful plants and flowers. We have planted a lot of natives and enjoy seeing our Blue Wrens return. Our neighbour took out all his trees and shrubs when he moved in and removed a lot of habitat for our birds. Enjoy your bike riding. My husband has gone off this morning with his social bike riding group. I should get back on my bike. Happy New Year.
