The second day of flowering, the gift that keeps giving.
Purple Bearded Orchid – Calochilus platychilus

I can’t help but notice the lovely bokeh in the image below and the first image, the Oly 60mm F2.8 macro constantly surprises me. These are all in camera focus stacked images.

Unfortunately with other commitments, I have been unable to visit over the last few days but I think I’ve managed to catch this lovely orchid at it’s freshest best.
Photographed with Olympus OM1, M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm F2.8 Macro lens.
Focus stacked in camera Jpeg files edited in DxO Photolab 6, final level adjustments and cropping in Adobe CS6 (last non-subscription).
Thanks for visiting,
Tone 😀
I’ve never seen a flower anything like that. Incredible!

Thanks Anneli, I’ve been refining my use of DxO Photolab6, it is somewhat limited working on the stacked jpeg files compared to RAW. I could edit the RAW files first, then stack them in photoshop instead for an even better result!! But that takes some time – and I’d rather be out taking more photos 😀
