Day 5 – from previous post, hello my beautiful friend!
The reward of patience.


While photographing this bud, I also found another Bearded Orchid on top of the hill with several flowers…







These photos were taken using OM Digital (Olympus) OM-1 with M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm F2.8 Macro lens.
RAW or stacked Jpeg file edited in DxO Photolab 6, then final level adjustments and cropping in Adobe CS6 (last non-subscription).
As a fungi photographer first, I find Orchids more challenging. Not only do they have much more detail, dynamic range and depth, but the wind can be a problem when focus stacking, as the orchids will sway or nod.
