Some architectural photography around Hobart, that has been sitting in my “unpublished” folder for some time!
Taken with the lovely Olympus PEN-F, edited with DxO PhotoLab6 & Photoshop CS6 (pre-subscription).

Thanks for taking a stroll around Hobart 😀
Great color here. almost Kodak looking.

Thanks, that’s a huge complement for me! The Pen-F has a “creative dial” on the front that is missing on other Olympus cameras – and it’s a great feature that lets you switch instantly between custom colour and mono modes and adjust them without having to dive into menu settings. It also has four custom modes on the top dial, each remembers the entire camara setup you program into it. For me, it’s the most enjoyable Olympus camera out of the entire range, though technically the OM-1 is better. Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore and are in demand on the second-hand market. I got very lucky when I found mine after looking for ages.

Well I can say those shots absolutely caught my eye. I’m an old film guy, it’s what we had 😂. The color was unique. I love the feel but will never go back. I use DxO Filmpack for vintage looks and have created my own in the software. Again, nice photos.

Thank you, I don’t do a lot of street photography, I much prefer my bush tracks 😀

Cool shots! Especially the mirror image of the landscape on the building windows.

Thanks Morgaine, it caught my eye as I was walking by, the contrast between the new and old structures, with a small view of the harbour included. Something different that kind of sums up “modern” Hobart.

Thanks John,
I drive through Hobart every day for work, but try to avoid it as much as I can. Though I only live 7km away, I much prefer to be in the bush! The next post will feature some more street photography 😀

That’s a short drive! You wouldn’t want to go up against drivers in Las Vegas, Tone, they can be aggressive and rude! I look forward to seeing more of your city!

Thanks, it is sometimes a challenge to see things differently that you walk past and take for granted everyday!
