Yet another lovely little rainforest walk in Tasmania’s Tarkine area, this time along the banks of the Julius River, featuring ferns, fungi and little furry thing …

And speaking of small furry animals … have you ever heard “Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict…”?
My all-time favourite band ever is easily Pink Floyd, particularly their earlier experimental stuff. If you haven’t heard this 1969 track before, or even if you have, get comfortable, strap on your headphones and join the small furry animals in a cave. I don’t believe there’s anything else quite like this – if there is, please let me know 😀

Lastly, I have Covid for the first time! Into day 4 now, been mostly going ok but can not concentrate or stare at a close screen or even watch telly for long, I had this post ready to go before it hit but no more pics edited for now. Stay safe and don’t shake hands with anyone! Back to snoozing for me, the rest of my body is enjoying a well needed rest.

  1. Oh my gosh, rest well and get well, Tone! My sister visited me a while back and brought covid with her which was my first and hopefully last bout. She was much worse but has made a full recovery. Me too. Your photos are pretty much magical, you live on such a beautiful island!

    1. Thanks John, seems to affect everyone differently, seems to be worse very early morning for me but feeling pretty good today – even pulled out the laptop! Who knows, I might get to edit a pic or two 😀 I’ll be taking it easy for a few days yet.
You really gotta watch those “girl germs”, especially from your sister 😛 (Jokes – I have sister too!)

    1. Ha ha, not until then, boy, you’re right! I just went for some alliteration in the title, I used to work for a newspaper as a graphic artist – seems like a lifetime ago now but I’d often work with editorial and come up with headings. Thanks Anneli.

    1. Thanks Morgaine, your energy made it here, I feel much better today! Thanks ❤️‍🌏😍👍🦄
Not sure that track ever made it to radio, it is VERY different, glad you had a listen inside the cave. It’s pouring with rain here at the moment, sounds lovely on our iron roof, toasty and warm in bed – Glad I don’t have to go out in it today and collect mail 🥳 Have a great day!

  2. Great photos. So sorry to hear you got COVID! Our household managed to avoid until last month when my husband got it and tested positive for 11 days! I stayed negative! He wasn’t too bad thankfully but lots of people complain about the tiredness. Thanks for the PF clip! Lynn

guessing you’ve recovered now from your adventure with covid

the first time I got it was bad, and for months afterwards I would suddenly have to have a nap. Not necessarily in the arvo but maybe an hour after I was topside in the morning. I got a 2nd round this year, a lesser evil and go over it much quicker.
