The destination, according to the information sign βone of the finest examples of a flooded sinkhole in Australiaβ.

I took some time on the way back to photograph a few of the local birds chirping and flitting about.

And speaking of birds, here’s a ’70’s Welsh band called “Budgie” I’d never heard of until neighbour Jeff introduced me to them a few months ago one night, sitting around a fire while sampling some fine Tasmanian Kentish Distillery Whisky (I described the whisky as liquid crΓ¨me Brule). Budgie remind me of Led Zeppelin, though the bio on Spotify says they are “often thought of as a cross between Black Sabbath and Rush”. If you like them, explore more of their work, I find it compellingly good.
Although I am more of a bird lover than landscapes, I like the picture of the lake and the mossy tree trunks the most.
Happy Sunday Tone !

Thanks Marc, I loved the reflections of the trees in the lakes waters. I was fortunate to capture the birds, they moved around pretty quickly..

The photos are beautiful, Tone! That might be a nice place to camp. I like the music, I can hear the Rush and Zep influence in their music. I love both bands and follow them on Instagram.

Thanks John, and glad I’m hitting the mark with music finds. There’s a lot of great older bands I’ve never heard of! I’ve dived down the Zep hole many times previously and heard of Rush but never really delved into their catalogue … maybe one for this week π

Rush is one of my favorite bands ever! I saw them live at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit (now gone) in the early 80s! I have their music on disc on the Mac and in my truck among other great bands of the 80s like van Halen! π₯ Rush – the pride of Canada! I’m so bummed that Neil Peart and Ed Van Halen have passed, Neil is the best drummer I’ve ever heard.

I agree with Marc. Love birds, but that mossy reflection photo is fabulous.

Went back in time listening to Budgie. π

Thanks Morgaine, I hope you enjoyed them. The tune I posted slowly builds and eases you into their more energetic style, most of their other tracks are straight into it but still change and evolve. Good driving music π

A kind of prog rock.
I had an LP that I sold a few years ago, If We’re Britannia We’d Wave the Rules.
