Trowutta Arch is located on the lands of the Palawa and the local Aboriginal word for ‘ trowutta ‘ means flint. The spectacular sight of Trowutta Arch was formed by the collapse of an ancient limestone cave which left behind the archway and a sinkhole on either side, one dry and the other filled with water. Our first stop for the day, the easy walk in and out was pretty amazing. There is at least 5 fungi and a few slime moulds in the image above – click to zoom on any photo.

Today’s drive drive music, another “new” old band discovery for me, Taste randomly played by Spotify – Same old story, again from 1970. They only put two albums out if you fancy diving deeper …

  1. I am so amazed at the beauty of Tasmania, Tone! Such a huge diversity of plants and much more, your home is beautiful. I’ve never heard of this band before, they kick out the jams! 👍🏻😎🍻🇦🇺

    1. Thanks John, each walk we took was notably different in vegetation, my favorite walk with the ground covered with water ferns is yet to come 😉 Glad you enjoyed the music, I love the surprise of unearthing old hidden gems 😀

      1. Oh, that makes sense! I’ve noticed that I sometimes spell words like Color with the letter U. Chalk it up to the internet. 😊🇦🇺🇺🇸🇬🇧

    1. Thanks, indeed, this is very old temperate rainforest and an amazingly diverse area as you will see. While we didn’t see dinosaurs or faeries, we did see some wedge-tailed eagles that look like they’ve been here forever!
