(6 images, click to zoom) – I’ve never walked over this side of the road before, it is on the opposite side to the start of the Thark Ridge Track a few posts earlier. The access is very easy though there is no track and these images were taken not far from the road. Needless to say, I’ll be back!
The delightful reflection that caught my eye below was in the exit puddle of a roadside culvert where I began this little exploration.

I found this beautiful alpine garden a little past it’s best, but it was still splendid!

These images were taken with the delightful little Laowa 7.5mm wide angle lens – though fully manual, an absolute bargain addition to your kit, on the Olympus EM1 II. It brings a smile to my face every time I put this tiny budget lens onto my camera.
Thanks for walking along with me 😀
Such an amazing place, Tone, it looks ethereal and beautiful! Great photos. 😎

Thanks Alessandra, so many people drive right past this area heading to the mountain top and wouldn’t even notice it – including me!

Thanks Morgaine, just between you and me, I edited it mono to disguise a small pile of gravel built up on the puddles exit 😉 It was still pretty though 😀

They are all great picture but the first one really stands out. Smart move to go B&W.

Thanks Ulle, I often prefer mono, especially if the image is pretty colourless to start with but down here the colours can be so beautiful – flowers, bark, rocks … it just seems wrong not to share them 🙂
