Tickles the Tiger Snake

I beat her awake this morning, before the sun had a chance to hit the concrete and warm her up, I cautiously used my outside bathroom, nervously watching the rather large crack under the door, armed with a stick and a teatowel.

I started breakfast, then watched her emerge from under my home.

She was onto me straight away. I lay down on the ground to get these two shots, not far away, but far enough, while she was still cold and sluggish.

I hope you appreciate my bravado and deringdoo, lying face to face with one of the most venemous snakes in the world, the Tasmanian Tiger Snake, just to get images like this to my lovely visitors! As always, I had to improve on yesterday’s photos ๐Ÿ˜€

So how close would you get, to get the shot? To be fair, the last two above were taken through the window … just behind where I sit at my computer. I might be crazy, but I’m not stupid ๐Ÿ˜‰

This morning, a man far more nervous than me from Reptile Rescue, captured Little Miss Tickles the Tiger Snake, and relocated her. It’s been a great two days watching and admiring this lovely creature, but, yes, I am relieved she has gone!

Thanks for visiting, now get a wriggle on!! ๐Ÿ˜€

      1. That sounds so nice! I have a Nikkor 200mm lens for the Nikon Z series cameras. I have the Z5 and recently picked up the Z30 body which I really like. it’s smaller and the perfect travel size.

I’ll be flying to Michigan this month, the new Z30 and the new 26mm Nikkor I recently bought for the Z30 are going with me. Photography fun! ๐Ÿ˜‚
