Ok, I can’t hold it in! Rare second post for the day.
Just edited an exciting tiny find from today, a sneak peek at a 2-3 mm purple orchid I found almost buried in leaf litter. I can’t believe I saw it!

This is a single edited RAW image, more to come in a future post!
Olympus OM1, M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm F2.8 Macro lens.
1/20 sec; f/4.5; ISO 320
Edited in DxO Photolab 7, final level adjustments and cropping in Adobe CS6 (last non-subscription).
Another incredible find! I can’t believe how tiny it is!

I must take a ruler with me for scale next time I visit … maybe today if I have time. Looking forward to the little smile opening up 😀

Yes, measure it. Or put your thumb beside it and take a picture. Such a sweet little treasure you’ve found.

I have since taken a ruler up and included it with some orchids. Unfortunately the purple petals on this one were gone the next day after a very windy night! I was very disappointed but I’m still keeping an eye and lens on what’s left, maybe that’s how they grow? 😀

Very beautiful, and at 1/20, only possible with an Olympus !

This photo was taken with it sitting on the ground/sticks and was a single RAW taken from a stack.
The OM1 has grown on me, I’ve gotten used the few ergonomic issues I initially had and currently have no desire for any more gear. If you knew me, you would know that’s a big statement!

I never get over how flowers shin with reflected light.
