Best of fronds

While scouring the ground for orchids literally for DAYS, some other things caught my eye in the bush. Some fresh unfurling fern fronds in the sunlight.

The fern above is my favourite, with the sun shining through newly formed and unfurled leaves.

Sunlight on a perfect cob-web caught my eye, with the spider waiting in the centre. When I took the image I immediately pictured that I would edit it in black and white.

But then I hit the colour sliders and saw this awesome rainbow pattern across the delicate spider lattice, I had to share it – worth zooming in on ๐Ÿ˜€

I also saw only a couple of what-ever these are below, stuck on dried up eucalypt leaves! I expected them to be soft and berry like, but they were hard.

And plenty of orchid decoys – usually grass seeds, this one is flowering!

Photographed with OM1, M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm F2.8 Macro.
Stacked Jpeg and RAW files edited in DxO Photolab 6, then final level adjustments and cropping in Adobe CS6 (last non-subscription).

Thanks for stopping by,

    1. Thanks Morgaine, I’m no fan of spiders but I’m trying hard to admire their beauty. I have a few spider friends I leave alone in my post boxes which I empty, as long as they leave me alone they’ll be fine.
