I think the sign at Sumac Lookout said it was a 10 or 15 minute walk, but it was just a short 50m stroll from the road. A lovely leg stretch and our first taste of the Tarkine rainforest before heading back to our farm lodgings on the first day.

And this week’s driving music, another for me unheard of 1970’s band called “Audience”, suggested to me by Ghosty – a fellow van driver. They released three albums back in the day, my favourite is their first one titled Friends, Friends, Friend. While I’ve never been much into saxophone, the way this is played is … phenomenal.
There are many good tracks on the first and second album, but as an introduction, here’s one that stood out for me, an 8+ minute mind journey called “Raid“. It starts with lyrics about a Viking raid, stick with it, it changes pace around the 3 minute mark and builds then lulls then, well, find out!
If your not blown away by the sax, I’ll give you your money back … but unfortunately I can’t refund the 8+ minutes of your life 😉 There’s no video so at least you can continue on about your business while your brain gets rattled.
If you like this, then jump down their little three album rabbit hole on Spotify.
Super Pictures.

Thanks John, I told Ghosty about Hocus Pocus by Focus and after a listen he came back at me with Audience. He has the second album, he’s a bit older than me. All three albums are worth a listen.
