The last of the North West Coast photos as we head south of Arthur River and through Temma, to the start of the Sandy Cape Track. First stop, Couta Rocks.

One of the few spots on the coast to offer any form of shelter for boats … barely!

We had to drive through a herd of cows on the road and eventually made it to road’s end … though I would have loved to keep going down the Sandy Cape Track, we lacked recovery gear, a permit and remaining daylight! Perhaps another time?

I stopped and grabbed a quick snap as we left Temma, a small collection of shacks.

On our way “home” to the Nut, we headed inland for a return loop through some of the Tarkine Trail. We stopped off at Sumac Lookout below.

Next up, we get hands on into the Tarkine … the greatest expanse of temperate rainforest in Australia, and the second largest in the world! Unbelievably. still under threat from logging.
Thanks for visiting 😀
Wow man, the angry sea and the lookout photos are very beautiful, Tone! Tasmania is a very beautiful island. I just can’t understand why the heck anyone would want to log a rain forest! They have destroyed so much of the Amazon Rain forest in South America already. Human greed and ignorance. Humans and the planet need those forests, and I’m by no means a “tree hugger”.

The sheltered area still looks pretty rough and rocky. I’d be biting my nails.

So many beautiful natural places in Tasmania! Gorgeous ocean views!
Logging in any rain forest should be classified as a serious crime; with huge fines and lengthy prison sentences. Yes, I am a tree hugger. 🙂
