(6 images, click to zoom) – Their common name is Slime-Mould but for most people, that name wouldn’t conjure up thoughts of their fascinating and beautiful fruiting bodies. I’ve only recently discovered this micro world of wonder. Timing is everything, the last few humid days after rain, I’ve been lucky to find an assortment 😀

Completely different from the previous slime moulds. They look like a combination of starfish and cheese puffs. 😀 I like that lichen! 🙂

Yes, that’s how I feel. They are so small with the naked eye you don’t pick up the detail – like fairy floss. Glad they’re not in my bathroom though.
