Video highlight from Sunday’s ride with friend Evan down some of the same tracks as the previous night ride post. (I tilted my camera up).
Strap yourself on-board for a day time mountain bike ride with Evan where we both come unstuck!

Featuring Pitfalls, Stumpside and The Luge tracks on the foothill trails of Mt Wellington.
My bike: the oddly named 2017 Avanti Competitor S Plus 2
Evan’s bike: Polygon something or other …
he reckons he needs a new one, but I reckon he ought to learn how to ride the one he’s got first π Me too for that matter π
Rest assured this is not reverting into a mountain bike blog, photos of Tasmania’s awesomeness will resume again shortly π

That was a great ride and video! Plenty of chances to get banged up good too, wow!

Ha ha, thanks for watching, itβs a little smoother flowing in real life, and way more fun π

Now that I see what the trail looks like in daylight I am astonished anyone could do that at night! Kudos to you and your friend! Very exciting to watch!

Thanks, thereβs another steeper faster track next to the first one, we walked it one night last week and both of us sensibly said … βno!β more than once. Thereβs a fine line between fun and hospital

Wow that’s an amazing bike adventure…not sure I could do that.

Thanks for watching, I couldn’t do it like that when I started riding again last October either! Every ride we get a bit better, the problem now is to resist exceeding our limited skills – that’s when we come unstuck

Adrenaline surge! What fun!
The trail runner in me was thinking: ditch the bikes and just run the trails, less chance of a face plant π

I wear a full face helmet because my head is soft and I want to keep my teeth π

WOWZA! That was one wild ride. I was holding on tight and still feeling dizzy, lol. When you would occasionally take one hand off your handlebars, my mind was saying, don’t do that, two hands, two hands! I don’t know how you don’t hit your handlebars on the whizzing by tree trunks. Skill for sure!! And we did this in the dark in your previous post? My knees go weak.
