Hoppy Roo Year!

Not a Kangaroo, but a local Bennett’s Wallaby. In the last 10 years the population of Bennett’s and Pademelon’s in our valley has exploded.

You can see above, the normal coloured wallaby blends in well with the surrounding bushland.

There are two wallaby’s in the valley that are genetically different and I was lucky enough to photograph one of them.

They’re not albino, but a fairly rare blonde Bennett’s Wallaby.

May 2021 be full of wonderful surprises for you!

    1. We only have the Forester Kangaroo in Tasmania which lives mostly up in the north east corner. They are protected but can be hunted for population control with a license.
